Quality Standards
Peptideology's approach to quality is built on transparency, batch-level documentation, independent verification, and honest communication about what we provide and what we cannot.
Our Quality Framework
The six pillars of Peptideology's quality documentation and verification approach.
HPLC Purity Analysis
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is used to determine compound purity by separating components based on molecular properties. HPLC purity percentages reflect the proportion of the target compound relative to detectable impurities. All Peptideology products are documented at ≥99% HPLC purity where verified.
Mass Spectrometry Identity Confirmation
Mass Spectrometry (MS) confirms the molecular identity of a compound by measuring the mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of ionized molecules. This is compared against the expected molecular mass of the compound to verify identity. MS verification is performed on all product lots.
Batch-Level COA Documentation
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is generated for each production lot individually, not generically for the product. COA documents include HPLC purity results, mass spectrometry identity data, lot number, compound identification, and testing date.
Third-Party Analytical Testing
Analytical testing is performed by independent third-party laboratories to ensure objectivity and verification outside of production operations. Third-party testing removes conflicts of interest from quality documentation.
Canada-Based Operations
Peptideology operates with Canada-based support and fulfillment infrastructure. Customers with questions about product documentation, COA availability, or order status can reach our support team at support@peptideology.ca.
Research Use Only Compliance
All Peptideology products are sold strictly for laboratory research use only (RUO). We do not provide dosage, clinical, injection, therapeutic, or human-use guidance of any kind. By purchasing, customers confirm products will be used only for lawful laboratory research purposes.
From Lot to Documentation
Lot-Level Sourcing
Each product lot is sourced under specific quality specifications. Lot provenance and sourcing details are tracked per batch.
HPLC Purity Verification
HPLC analysis is performed to verify compound purity percentage. The method separates sample components and measures relative peak areas to determine purity.
Mass Spectrometry Identity Confirmation
Mass spectrometry confirms molecular identity by comparing measured m/z values against the theoretical molecular mass of the compound.
COA Generation
A Certificate of Analysis incorporating testing results, lot identification, compound data, and testing date is generated for each verified lot.
Documentation Review
COA documentation is reviewed before being made available. Only verified documentation is provided to customers.
Secure Fulfillment
Orders are fulfilled from Canada-based operations with appropriate packaging for research-grade lyophilized materials.
Quality Documentation FAQ
What does ≥99% HPLC purity mean?
HPLC purity of ≥99% indicates that at least 99% of the detectable material in the sample is the target compound, with detected impurities comprising less than 1% of the total. This is a standard research-grade purity specification for synthetic peptides.
What is the difference between HPLC purity and mass spectrometry identity?
HPLC purity measures the relative proportion of the target compound versus impurities (purity percentage). Mass spectrometry identity confirmation verifies the molecular mass of the compound matches the expected theoretical molecular mass - confirming the compound is what it is represented to be.
Why are COAs generated per lot rather than per product?
Because purity and composition can vary between production runs (lots). A lot-specific COA documents the actual test results for that specific batch, not a generalized or historical result. This is the professionally accepted standard in research peptide documentation.
What is the lyophilized format?
Lyophilization (freeze-drying) is a method of preserving research compounds by removing water under vacuum conditions, producing a stable dry powder. Lyophilized peptides offer extended shelf-life stability compared to solutions, making them the standard format for research-grade peptide supply.
Research Use Only
All Peptideology products are sold strictly for laboratory research use only. Not for human or animal consumption. Not intended for therapeutic, diagnostic, or clinical use. Peptideology does not provide dosage, injection, medical, or therapeutic guidance. By purchasing, you confirm products will be used solely for lawful laboratory research purposes.
